Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose) The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate regulations regarding the provision and conditions of use of services for Cyber Members provided by this site, matters related to membership registration and procedures, and other necessary matters.

Article 2 (Effect and Change of Terms)

  1. These Terms shall become effective upon notification to the members via the service screen, email, or other methods after undergoing public notice procedures pursuant to Article 31 of the Telecommunications Business Act and Article 21-2 of the Enforcement Rules of the same Act.

  2. These Terms are subject to change, and the changed terms shall become effective upon public notice or notification of the changes.

Article 3 (Rules Other than These Terms) Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by the Framework Act on Telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act, and other relevant laws and regulations.

Article 4 (Definition of Terms) The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:

  1. Cyber Member (hereinafter referred to as “Member”): A customer who has registered as a cyber member through the website.

  2. ID: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the Member and approved by the Company for member identification and service use.

  3. Password: A combination of letters and numbers set by the Member for the protection of their own privacy.

  4. Termination: An expression of intent by a Member to end the web service after using it.

Article 5 (Signup Procedure, Approval, and Formation of Contract)

  1. Membership application is made by recording the following matters (mandatory and optional) on the application form online.

  2. Approval of Membership: This site approves the application when the Member accurately fills in the mandatory items defined in Paragraph 1. This site may withhold approval, refuse approval, or cancel approval for applications falling under any of the following:

    • In case of technical difficulties.

    • If the name is not a real name.

    • If the application is made using another person’s name.

    • If the application is made by entering false information.

    • If the application is made for the purpose of disrupting social order or customs.

    • If other application requirements set by this site are not met.

Article 6 (Member Classification) The members distinguished on this homepage are as follows:

  1. Regular Member: Customers who have an online or offline trading relationship with the Company.

  2. General Member: Customers who have registered as cyber members through this homepage.

Article 7 (Content of Service) Members of this homepage are provided with information on products manufactured/produced by CHC LAB, general company news, and safety-related newsletters via email.

Article 8 (Duties of Site Operation)

  1. This site shall not leak or distribute the Member’s personal information known in connection with service provision to a third party without the Member’s consent. However, this shall not apply if there is a request from a state agency under the provisions of laws such as the Framework Act on Telecommunications, if there is an investigative purpose regarding a crime, if there is a request from the Information and Communication Ethics Committee, or if there is a request according to procedures defined in other relevant laws.

  2. Regarding personal information provided by individuals, this site retains the information for one year in principle, and it shall be automatically extended by one year unless the individual raises a specific objection.

Article 9 (Duties regarding ID and Password Management) The Member is entirely responsible for the management of their ID and Password. The Member bears all responsibility for any consequences arising from negligence in management or unauthorized use of the assigned ID and Password. If their ID is used unjustly, the Member must notify the site operator of the fact.

Article 10 (Change of Contract Details) If the details entered at the time of application change, the Member must modify them online.

Article 11 (Duties of Members)

  1. Members must comply with relevant laws, the provisions of these Terms, user guides, and notices notified by this site, and must not engage in acts that interfere with the Company’s business.

  2. Members may not engage in any profit-making activities using the service without the prior consent of the operator.

  3. Members may not use information obtained using the service for copying, reproduction, modification, translation, publishing, broadcasting, or other methods, or provide it to others without the prior consent of the operator.

  4. Members shall not engage in any of the following acts in connection with the use of the service:

    • Misusing another member’s ID.

    • Acts for the purpose of criminal activity or related to other criminal acts.

    • Acts that harm good morals or other social order.

    • Acts that defame or insult others.

    • Acts that infringe upon the rights of others, such as intellectual property rights.

    • Hacking acts or spreading computer viruses.

    • Transmitting advertising information or certain contents against the will of others.

    • Any act that interferes with or is likely to interfere with the stable operation of the service.

    • Acts that violate other relevant laws and regulations.

Article 12 (Provision of Information and Advertising)

  1. This site may provide various information to members by posting it on the website or other methods while operating the service.

  2. This site may post advertisements on the website, email, etc., in connection with the operation of the service.

Article 13 (Suspension of Service Provision) Service provision may be suspended in any of the following cases:

  1. When unavoidable due to system maintenance.

  2. When a key telecommunications business operator under the Telecommunications Business Act suspends telecommunications services.

  3. When other reasons occur that make it impossible for this site to provide services.

Article 14 (Rights, Duties, Deletion, etc., of Posts) All rights and responsibilities, including copyright, for a post belong to the member who posted it. If material related to Article 11, Paragraph 4 is posted on the bulletin board, the post may be deleted at the discretion of the operator.

Article 15 (Contract Termination and Restriction on Use)

  1. When a Member wishes to terminate the use contract, they must apply to this site via the service or email at least 1 day prior to the desired termination date (provided that if the termination date is a legal holiday, 2 days prior to the start of the holiday).

  2. This site may terminate the service use contract if a Member violates Article 11 or other provisions of these Terms and fails to resolve the violation within a period prescribed by the Company.

Article 16 (Damages) This site shall not be liable for any damages occurring to members in connection with services provided free of charge, except where such damages are caused by the gross negligence of the operator.

Article 17 (Indemnification and Compensation)

  1. This site bears no responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, or content of information, data, or facts posted by members on the service. Members use the service under their own responsibility, and members bear all responsibility for any damages arising from data posted or transmitted using the service, or any disadvantages related to the selection of data or other service usage.

  2. This site bears no responsibility for any product transactions or other dealings between members or between a member and a third party mediated by the service, in violation of Article 10, and bears no responsibility for any expected profits related to the member’s use of the service.

  3. All responsibility for damages caused by carelessness in managing the Member ID and Password or unauthorized use by a third party lies with the Member.

  4. If a Member or a third party is liable for damages caused by the Member’s violation of Article 11 or other provisions of these Terms, the Member who violated these Terms must compensate for all damages incurred by this site.

Article 18 (Dispute Resolution)

  1. In the event of a dispute related to the service, the Member must make every necessary effort to resolve the dispute amicably.

  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 1, if a lawsuit is filed due to the dispute, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company shall be the competent court.

Addendum Article 1 (Effective Date) These Terms shall be effective from May 22, 2012.
